Ainslee's 3rd Birthday Party

Back in February I made Cara a rainbow birthday cake for birthday.  If you missed it you can check it out here.  Well, thats when she recruited me to make Ainslee's birthday cake for her 3rd birthday in December!  I decided to kick it up a notch and make cupcakes also, and make a few decorations for the party.  I made Cara choose a theme for the party pretty early in November to give me enough time to work on everything :)  She decided to go with black and white polka dots with hot pink accents.  My first project was this happy birthday banner which can be reused every year on her birthday.

I also made a few of these tissue paper pom poms and found balloons to match too.

Ainslee requested chocolate cupcakes.

And I wanted to make a white cake with colorful layers.

So I made both! And we had tons of leftovers!

Sticking with tradition Ainslee did not enjoy everyone singing happy birthday to her :)

But she quickly cheered up and enjoyed eating her cupcake... with a fork because she hates to get messy.

However, I don't think her bff Cameron minded :)

Here's a shot of the inside of the cake.

It was so funny to watch Ainslee open her presents, she is finally at the age where she gets really excited about opening gifts.  Here she is with her gift from Aunt Yo and Uncle Trevor.  I'm pretty sure she liked it, apparently she woke her parents up the next morning at 7:45 asking to play the ladybug game :) Your welcome.

I can't believe she is already 3 years old!

Love you party girl!
