Baby P {34 Weeks}

how far along?  34 weeks
how are you measuring? 34 weeks
size of baby? Baby is 18 inches long, about 4.75 pounds, and the weight of an average canteloupe
heartbeat? 150's bpm
total weight gain/loss? +21 lbs.  so down 1 lb. from last week.
maternity clothes? most of my maternity clothes are already too small... looks like I'll be wearing muumuus the rest of this pregnancy.
stretch marks? I don't think so.  Lots of veins though.
sleep? not too bad!  Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed for the first time in 3 or 4 days tonight.
best moment this week? I had a great long weekend spending a few days in Port A with good friends, then going to Kerrville for a baby shower!
movement? I think baby is running out of room in there, less kicks and punches and more rolling around these days.  Trevor got to come to my appointment with me this week and we watched the heartbeat monitor for a while and baby wasn't super active so the Dr. came in and "buzzed" the baby with this thing that makes a buzzing noise and vibrates which is supposed to stimulate the baby.  It def. worked! Baby was moving around like crazy after that and even got over stimulated which gave him/her hiccups.  Me, Trevor, and the Dr. all sat there and watched my belly bounce up with each hiccup and could hear the hiccups on the monitor!  They made us wait until the baby's heartbeat went back down to its resting rate, which took so long they finally let us go since it was going down a little :)
food cravings? Still wanting an icee or snowcone, I think I'm going to have to break down and get one this week!
gender predictions? I had another vivid girl dream last night.  She looked just like Trevor with his bright blue eyes but had dark down hair, she was beautiful!
what i miss: being somewhat graceful :) I am anything but these days!
what i'm looking forward to: We brought the last piece of furniture for the nursery (the changing table)home from Kerrville today so I can't wait to get all the final touches finished in the nursery! I am also looking forward to my LAST day of work this week!!  I will miss the structure of having a job and the great people I work for/with, but I am looking forward to getting completely ready for this baby to come and checking things off my to do lists!
how are you feeling? large.

Baby P {33 Weeks}

how far along?  33 weeks
how are you measuring?  She didn't say anything after she did the measurements this week and I forgot to ask.
size of baby? Baby is around 16.7 inches long, about 3.75 pounds, and the weight of a larger jicama.
heartbeat? 150 bpm
total weight gain/loss? +22lbs
maternity clothes? oh yes, pretty much living in dresses and skirts with elastic waist bands!
stretch marks? I don't think so.
sleep? I've been sleeping so great this week, probably the best sleep I've had since before before being pregnant!
best moment this week? Getting another good report at the Dr. on wednesday, and getting the whole kitchen organized to make room for all of baby's bottles and such :)
movement? It is so crazy, I will just sit there and watch my belly move in all directions.  I got a good video of it on my phone this week.
food cravings? powdered sugar donuts, chocolate pudding, and icees... so pretty much anything healthy :)  I tried to tell Trevor it was his right of passage as a father to run to the grocery store late at night and pick up my cravings so I could eat them.  He didn't buy it :(
gender predictions? I had a vivid girl dream this week and then Bethany (Trevor's sister) texted me the same morning and said she had a girl dream! In Bethany's dream we named her Hope and in mine we named her Claire.
what i miss:  being mobile! I watched a lady with a broken foot drive one of those motorized carts at the grocery store today and told Trevor that I might have to break down soon and use one of those :)  Its a chore to stand from a sitting position, pick something off the floor, put pants on, etc.
what i'm looking forward to: Tuesday is the tax deadline! We are celebrating by spending the second half of the week with some friends in Port A and then going to Kerrville for the weekend for a baby shower! Lots to look forward to this week! (Not looking forward to sporting the beached whale look at the beach though :))
how are you feeling? Pretty good for the most part! Rib/back pain, heartburn, achy feet at the end of the day, and a little bit of a waddle, but nothing too unmanageable! I told Trevor this week that I have mixed feelings about being towards the end of this pregnancy.  Part of me wants to freeze time and be pregnant longer because I love feeling the baby moving around all day and not feeling as self-conscience about my body b/c I'm supposed to be big :)  But I also can't wait to meet our baby and hold him/her in my arms!

Trevor quote of the week: I have a folder in Lightroom (the program I use to upload my pictures) that I keep all the weekly belly shots in.  After I added this week's picture to it I called Trevor in and told him to watch my belly grow as i scrolled through all the pictures week 10- week 33 really fast.  Its looks like watching a flip book.  I went through them a few times going small to big and then the other way around.  Then Trevor said, "Do it again and watch how your face grows too!"  Gee thanks, Babe.

Houston Baby Shower

Baby P and I were showered with love a few weeks back at our very first baby shower in Houston.  Three of my besties, Mallory, Sarah, and Johnna, threw the shower and it turned out so amazing.  They stuck with the nursery colors which are grey, navy, and yellow.  The decorations were so cute and I can use them to decorate the nursery now!

The food was super yummy too! We had chicken salad sandwiches (made with my favorite chicken salad from tres market in Houston), a diy yogurt parfait bar, fruit with dip, crackers with dips, muffins and mini quiches with yummy cake balls and cupcakes for dessert!  Not only were they yummy, but they were also super cute with fun toppers welcoming Baby Prewett :)

They had a little station set up where everyone could write down their "keys to a happy family" and hang them on these branches.  I can't wait to find a place to keep them somewhere in the nursery for inspiration during those late nights we will have in there :)

Baby P was loved on a lot by friends and family at the shower, but I think he/she might be shy because he/she wasn't putting on too much of a show.  Only a few kicks for a select few :)

Baby P is already so spoiled and we received tons of fun toys, essentials, and goodies!  I wish I would've taken a picture of the gift pile of before I opened them or of the loot pile after everything was opened.  We all said that baby P could come now because we have everything he/she needs, but then decided we should probably let him/her cook a little bit longer :)

Me, Baby P, and Lolly :)

The amazing hostesses!

Baby P is so blessed to have 3 such amazing "aunts"!

Baby P {32 Weeks}

how far along?  32 weeks
how are you measuring?  33 weeks
size of baby? Baby is 16.7 inches long, about 3.75 pounds, and the weight of a larger jicama.
heartbeat? 156 bpm
total weight gain/loss? +20 lbs.
maternity clothes? Oh yes, I starting to get tired of all the ones in my closet, but I hate the idea of buying new maternity clothes that I will only wear for another 7 weeks.  So for now I'm just finding the ones in my closet that fit and wearing them over and over :)  Maxi dresses are my best friends right now, especially for work.
stretch marks? I don't know.  I don't really see any yet, but Trevor thinks its funny to tell me that he sees some on the bottom half of my belly (which I can't see without a mirror).  I think he is just trying to get a rise out of me, but I'm not really sure...
sleep? I slept pretty horrible on the camp bunk beds this weekend, but my first night back in my own bed I slept through the night for pretty much the first time since finding out I was pregnant!
best moment this week? Celebrating Easter at LLYC!  Baby's first trip to the place where Mommy and Daddy met and fell in love!  We even made Baby's first hike up to Circle Bluff :)
movement? Oh yes! Baby was putting on a show for all the family and friends out at camp this weekend.  Aunt Bethany got to feel the baby move for the first time and was so surprised by how active he/she was in there.  We noticed that Baby seemed to be more active while I was playing in/ watching the 2nd annual 42 tournament.  This baby is definitely a Prewett, already competitive even before its born :)
food cravings? Nothing really, I still haven't gotten the Icee I've been wanting for a few weeks now.
gender predictions? I'd say about 95% of people that guess the gender are saying boy.
what i miss: my ribs being left alone :)
what i'm looking forward to: Tax season is almost over!!
how are you feeling? Pretty good for the most part, I def. have my moments of heartburn, back aches, swollen feet, and waddling... but that normal for pregnancy, right?  I started having weekly appointment with my doctor this week.  They are hooking me up to the monitor to watch the baby's heartbeat and see if I'm having any contractions for about 5-10 minutes each week.  I got a great report this week and I'm looking forward to getting to listen to the heartbeat again at my next appointment!

Baby P {31 Weeks}

how far along?  31 weeks
how are you measuring?  33 weeks (Finally measuring ahead! Baby must have a a growth spurt.)
size of baby? Baby is 16 inches long, about 3.3 pounds, and like the weight four navel oranges.
heartbeat? 154 bpm
total weight gain/loss? +18 lbs
maternity clothes? All the time, except for my shower this weekend I found a non-maternity maxi dress to wear.
stretch marks? Not yet, but the dark line is getting darker and and the belly button is starting to pop out...yikes!
sleep? not too bad, except for the dream I had the other night that I was going into labor and nobody in the hospital would help me!
best moment this week? This whole week was one giant best moment!  I got a great report at my doctors appointment, had a wonderful relaxing spa day using my gift card from my birthday, and then went to Houston this past weekend for my first baby shower!  Baby P and I were definitely showered with lots of love and feel so blessed from the weekend!
movement? I think we have a shy baby.  I feel movement all the time when I'm alone but the second someone wants to feel it he/she stops moving around.  Everyone at the shower wanted to feel baby but I think he/she had stage fright.  Of course the second we got in the car to come home little one was all up in my rib cage, ouch!  I think Baby P is also running out of room, I'm feeling less kicks and more rolling around.
food cravings? Nothing crazy.  I made Trevor pull over for Dairy Queen Blizzards on the way home from Houston but I don't think I would consider that a craving.
gender predictions?  Almost everyone at the shower said Boy, but there were a few Girls thrown in there too.  We did the ring test again this weekend and I was Boy.
what i miss: Not being beaten up in my rib cage daily, not having to constantly pop tums for acid reflux, and riding comfortably in the car.  But I wouldn't trade it for the world!
what i'm looking forward to: Spending Easter at Laity Lodge with the Houston crew for a family camp.  Definitely one of my favorite traditions I married into!  Should be interesting to experience camp 32 weeks pregnant.  But I think it will be so neat to spend one of few remaining childless weekends together as we anticipate the arrival of our little one in the same place that we met and feel in love!  How far we have come from the days of our innocent camp crush :)
how are you feeling? Pretty good, for the most part.  My back and ribs hurt if I sit too long (which is awesome when I work 11 hr. days at a desk job) and my feet/heels hurt if I've been standing/walking too long.  I'm debating putting myself on best rest for this reason :)  I start my weekly Dr. appts. this week because they want to start monitoring the baby closely because I have a thyroid issue.  I'm excited that I will get to closely monitor my weight gain, baby's weight gain and heartbeat, and any issues that could arise.
