Weekend Guests Part II

Last weekend Cara, Jason, Ainslee, & Hattie came to visit.  It has become a tradition for Cara and her family to come to Corpus to celebrate her birthday weekend.  I was a little nervous about making a cake that could top the one I made for her birthday last year, but luckily she requested a coffee angel food cake that is fairly easy to make.

Of course I had to have my obligatory photo shoot with Hattie, the happiest most willing model I can find!

Ruby got in some good bonding time with her cousins.

We did a little shopping, a lot of eating, and made a trip to the Aquarium.  We have taken Ainslee there before, but she was old enough this time to really get into it.

Hattie seemed to enjoy it too.  She would track the fish with her eyes and startle if they swam right at her :)

Ainslee liked the turtles, 

and so did uncle Trevor.

When we got home from the Aquarium we set Hattie up on her first date with Charlie!  I think they really hit it off... she couldn't keep her hands off him :)

It was a full, fun weekend.  We love having family over and especially love getting to love on our nieces.  However, I'd be lying if I didn't say that Trevor and I enjoyed have a quiet house with just the two of us on Sunday night after having a house full of little ones :)
