Happy New Year!

This year we held the 3rd annual New Years Party in Hempstead!  I would call it the 4th annual, but four years ago it was sadly only Trevor and I that attended, so thats hardly a party.  But, for three years now we have had the privilege of ringing in the new year with some of our favorite people at one of our favorite places to be!  New Years parties at the ranch in Hempstead are always sure to be filled friends, guns, fish, cows, four wheelers, fireworks of some sort, sandwiches from Lewis's, golf ball hunting contests, 10lbs. of sausage, drinks, laughs, and lots of fun.  And this year did not disappoint!  Here is photographic evidence of all the fun we had:

This is how the week started

But it quickly cleared up so we were able to play outside.  Wednesday and much of new years eve it was just us, Sarah and Bill, and Mallory and Rob.  We enjoyed playing fetch with Jonah, shooting skeet, playing on the four wheelers, and lunch at Lewis's!

Then these guys showed up and got the party started :)

The rest of the gang all showed up before midnight, and the freezing temperatures and rain kept us inside or on the porch the rest of the night.

Bethany, Logan, Sarah, and Justin all came out for the day to play on new years day.

We end the day fishing, making and eating chili, mexican train, a campfire finally, and our new tradition of the burning of the Christmas tree!  I forgot to get any pictures of the tree burning, but it was quite a sight!

Everyone packed up and headed out after a late breakfast on Saturday.  Trevor's parents came out for a little while and my parents stopped by for a little bit, but I didn't get any pictures.  I did get a funny picture a horse sticking his tongue out at me though :)

Trevor's aunt and uncle and his cousin Travis and his girlfriend were out there for a little while and shot some more skeet.

I was trying to get a picture of Trevor's dad on his new toy that he got for Christmas, when I uploaded it I realized that it turned out looking like there is a little two foot tall Travis standing on the back of it!

Then Kara and Adam came out and helped Trevor shoot his new pistol.

They introduced us to our new favorite game, Settlers of Catan.  I've already looked all over Corpus and realized that I need to order it online.

We ended up played three times in one night!  The next morning we got up and played on the four wheelers for a while before we all had to go.

I couldn't think of a better way to start 2010.  If the first few days of the new year are any indication, I think we are going to have a wonderful 2010!
