Girls Weekend

Two weekends ago we threw together an impromptu girls weekend in Austin.  Jessica came back to Texas from California for a little bit, so all the Austin folk planned to all get together for Dinner on Friday.  All of us out-of-towners (me, Johnna, Sarah, and Bernie) got jealous and invited ourselves to stay with Mal for the weekend :)  It was sooo refreshing to be all together again and not really have an agenda.  We went to dinner as planned on Friday with Jessica, Kellie, and Jane to Z Tejas.  Then we ventured out to 6th street for some dancing (and there might have been a little singing on stage involved).

The next morning we all slept in and went to a late breakfast at Einstein's.  We decided to take over the place so we sat at the biggest table and Bernie and I taught everyone how to play Settlers of Catan!  We might have made a scene.  After everyone was addicted to Settlers we ventured out to try to find the game extension that allows more players to play, we ended up finding it at Toy Joy.  Then we did a little shopping, a little snacking, and a little more shopping.  We decided to go back to Mal's house and spend the night in our sweat pants, eating pizzas, making cake balls, watching movies, and playing Settlers with the new extension.

The next morning we all slept in again, made and ate some muffins, packed up, and got on the road.  Definitely ranks up there as one of the best girls weekends.  We all decided that we need to make it more of a scheduled event so that it will happen more often.  Thanks again Mal for letting us all stay with you!

Now a little about Trevor's weekend:

(Warning if you dont like looking at dead animals don't scroll down any further!)

I only got two pictures (and stole one from Mal) and they are not the best pictures because Trevor wanted to take the new camera with him on his hunting trip that weekend.  He went to the Kenedy Ranch with Austin, Robbie, Russell, Spook, and some of Spooks friends for the weekend.  I came back to find a lot of pictures of deer and a nilgai... both dead and alive.  I think he would want me to show off this picture of their success:
