Well it's another lame room before and after this week. I promise its gets a little better once we get to the bedrooms. But honestly, there really isn't anything we really wanted to change... we loved it already! The kitchen is the one room that we know we want to update before we ever sell it (whenever that is...hopefully not anytime soon!) There is a lot of potential for the kitchen because it is pretty outdated, but we are totally content with how it is for now (and so are our wallets :))

We bought a new refrigerator and tried to get it just the right width for the cubby size, I didn't like how theirs had big gaps. We also inherited Austin and Kylie's old microwave (Thanks Adamsons!) and put it on a different counter than they had theirs on. We don't have a t.v. in the kitchen, and our table is round, and theirs was square...but besides that it is pretty much the same kitchen! But just so it's a true before and after post here are some after pictures:
We definitely want to install new countertops, update the backsplash, cabinets, and paint. We also think it would be fun build a banquette in the corner where the table is now. Here are some inspiration picture of what would be fun to do:

Maybe I shouldn't add inspiration pictures to these posts because they make what we have now look so sad :) One day we will have a kitchen like the magazines and then I will always keep two baguettes of bread and olive oil on the island like these people in the last picture do... just cause it looks good!
