Boy or Girl?

I'd say about 95% of the people who take a guess at what we are going to have say "boy".  This includes family, friends, and the surprisingly large amount of strangers that like to stop me in the store, parking lot, restaurant, etc. and take a guess.  I think most people (at least here in Corpus) like to guess based on how you are carrying.  But there have been a few other factors people have used.  I thought I would compile a list of the common old wives tales and what we are having based on each one.


Morning sickness: oh yes... GIRL

Soft or dry skin? Somewhat dry... BOY

Are you craving citrus? loving lemons and limes in my water, so yes... BOY

Have you felt glowing or less than beautiful and had lots of breakouts?  lots of breakouts...  GIRL

Heartbeat indicator: always faster than 140s ... GIRL

Craving fruit or meat?: mmmm loving fruit and still not liking meat...  GIRL

Pendullum test: We've done this one several times and it always circles... BOY

Dreams: I've had a lot of both so this one doesn't really apply.

How are you carrying the extra weight?  everyone says its all in the belly... BOY

Chinese Gender Calendar: Says GIRL

Addition test (Month you got pregnant + age when you got pregnant):  Odd, which says GIRL 


So the total here is Girl=6 and Boy=4.  Guess we really will have to wait until the baby decides to make his/her grand appearance to find out!
