Holiday Recap

I was starting to write a post about Christmas and realized I never wrote about Thanksgiving.  Since I didn't take many pictures at either I thought I'd combine the two.

We spent Thanksgiving in Houston this year. Almost everyone was there this year so it was great to see everyone. We ended up making a pallet on the floor in the living room because we were all crowded around the TV watching football and movies, it was amazing.  Trevor is still asking if we can make one at our house!  We also went to a friends engagement party that Trevor's parents helped host, went to Clayton's last football game in the pouring rain, and did a little black friday shopping.  I would recap all the good food we had, but I was still in the height of my food aversions so I really enjoyed my mashed potatoes and rolls :)  But I think everyone else would say the food was amazing as usual.  I wish I would've taken more pictures, but these are the only ones I got (and I think Bethany was actually the one taking pictures with my camera!)

We spent Christmas in Kerrville.  It's nice now that the whole family lives there we are the only ones that come from out of town, so once we get there its an instant party!  We went to the Gilbreath's church for the children's Christmas Eve service and then came back to the Gilbreath's house for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner of chili and tamales.  The rest of the evening was spent tracking Santa on Grammy's ipad (my how things have changed since I was little!) and getting ready for his arrival,  celebrating Ruby's birthday with bones for the pups, and having a Christmas carol sing-a-long with Uncle Rob.

We spent Christmas day back at the Gilbreath's house eating out traditional pigs in a blanket as we open stocking, seeing the goodies that Santa brought the girls, opening gifts, eating, and watching movies.

Hope your Holidays were also merry and BRIGHT!
