We left Houston on Wednesday afternoon around 3:40 on a non-stop flight to Paris. When we got to Paris it was 8:00 in the morning there so we had to keep going. Our first task was to get to the hotel from the airport. We decided to take the metro, which proved to be a 2 hour ordeal.
We finally made it to our hotel after two hours underground with 6 people, 6 suitcases, 6 carry-ons, and lots of dirty looks. We checked into the hotel and checked out the views from our rooms... not to shabby!
Then we grabbed some lunch before our tour that was scheduled for 2:00. We happened to choose cafe that didn't have any English on their menu and ended up with some pretty interesting food.
Our tour that afternoon was a segway tour. Trevor and I were the only ones that had never ridden a segway before so we got a really quick lesson before headed out on a trek all over Paris. I was nervous on it at first, but slowly became more comfortable on it. By the end of the tour I didn't want to get off of it :) We saw some of the more famous sites around Paris on the segways, the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Arch de Triumph, Iglesia de Dome, Seine River, and Plaza Concorde to name a few.
