Spring = Green!

I have been loving spring this year and all the green that it brings!  My favorite part so far has been that I finally planted my herb garden that Trevor and his dad built for me.  When I last posted it on the blog this is what it looked like:

And here it is now:

However, it doesn't exactly look like that anymore... That sign in the last picture, "Ruby's Garden" was promptly broken in half and thrown away when she took that a little too literally and found out how to sneak into the garden and go to town digging and tearing up everything!  She was in the dog house for quite a few days after that!  I should have taken a picture of the mess that she made of the garden, but I was way too livid to think about taking pictures :)  I fixed it back up the best I could, salvaging what I could and replacing what I couldn't .  And we are still missing two of the markers that I made for Rosemary and Thyme... they are either buried or she eat them completely, not sure which one.

I also made this "P" spring "wreath" for our front door.  I found a lot of tutorials online for making them, after the pottery barn catalog was selling similar ones made of live moss for $80.

And planted some impatiens in our front planter boxes.

Here's the big picture view of our front door now.

And most recently we found a great deal on patio furniture and had to jump on it!

Ruby loves it too :)

Speaking of Ruby, she's gotten into her fair share of trouble lately.  She has chewed the hose in half several times now, making it a big chore to water the garden.  I already mentioned how she destroyed my first attempt at gardening.  And just yesterday she chewed all of the wires connecting the ac unit to the house.  We didn't noticed it until we realized the ac had been running a long time and it was really hot in the house.  81 degrees hot.  I had just been babying her because she had just gotten all her annual shots earlier in the day and she felt like she was running a fever and was breathing really hard, even when sleeping.  We debated taking her to the emergency clinic after googling her symptoms and reading that she could be dying!  Turns out she probably just electrocuted herself after chewing through the wires... little brat!  So now I'm waiting for the ac repair guy who was supposed to be here between 2-4.  Its 3:50 and he's not here yet.....
