Happy Halloween!

We carved our pumpkins a little too early this year.  The are already starting to grow some crazy looking stuff inside, and they still have to make it two more days!  We invited some friends over last saturday to carve pumpkins with us.  The Adamsons and the Simpsons came over to join us for the festivities.  I figured you can't carve pumpkins without a little sustenance, so I made some pumpkins chocolate chip muffins.  Trevor ended up doing my dirty work while I was still baking the muffins, cutting the top off my pumpkin for me and scooping out the guts.  Austin and Kylie had to leave before we really got down to business, so here are Trevor, Reid, and Amanda starting out with the carving.

And our final products: A vizsla, a deer, a golden retriever, and some fall leaves.

I made Ruby :)

Trevor made a buck.

"Hey that looks like me!"

Dove hunt

We just got back yesterday from a fun weekend in Cuero. We packed up Friday after Trevor got off work and headed to the lease for the weekend.  We ended up having a pretty big group out there which was fun!
It was the three of us

Along with Scooter and Trevor's dad

Jennifer, Bethany, and Sarah

Sarah, Logan, and Bethany

Emily and Jennifer, and not pictured: Richard and Wesley

There were some beautiful sunrises.

Ruby was in heaven.

I got to take a lot of pictures.

And we got to spend some quality time with some quality people!

Such a great weekend, and I'm sure we will get to do it all over soon again since deer season starts in a couple weeks!

Kylie's Babyshower

I helped host a baby shower for Kylie last weekend. We are all so excited to meet baby Charlie who is due a month from today! We went with more of a fun day out rather than a traditional baby shower.  The day started at 11 with brunch and from there we went to the Anthony's pool to hang out by the pool.  Sadly, I didn't take any pictures from this portion of the day, but after eating tons of french toast at brunch and then putting on a bathing suit for the pool I wasn't feeling very camera friendly :)  After a fun afternoon by the pool, we all split up to shower and get ready for the evening.  We met back up at 5 for appetizers, followed by dinner at Black Sheep, and then back to the house for dessert, games, and presents.

Kylie is such a cute pregnant woman and she is going to be a great mom! I'm counting down the days until I get to meet the little guy, can't wait!!
